Base Salary

$44k - $185k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain software components for optical platform solutions.
  • Implement QA and testing protocols to ensure system reliability and performance.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate software with hardware.
  • Debug complex issues to improve system stability and user experience.
  • Participate in the software development lifecycle and contribute to product design.

Requirements

  • Be currently enrolled in an associate’s or bachelor’s degree program with 2 years of work experience, or a master’s degree program with 0 years of work experience.
  • Pursue a qualifying degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Be expected to continue enrollment in the degree program after completing the internship.
  • Have proficiency in C, C++, Python, or Java demonstrated through at least 1 year of academic, project, or professional experience.
  • Have prior experience with software QA, unit testing, or debugging in an academic, project, or professional setting.
  • Preferred: familiarity with Linux environments and operating system concepts.
  • Preferred: understanding of computer networking principles and protocols.
  • Preferred: experience deploying web applications or services using AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Preferred: exposure to database management and backend web service development.
  • Preferred: foundational knowledge of cybersecurity principles in software environments.
