Base Salary
$137k - $263k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and deploy applied AI and Generative AI solutions on Verizon’s Gen AI platform for network and product use cases.
- Partner with network and product teams to identify high-value use cases and translate them into scalable AI solutions.
- Evaluate and integrate LLMs, RAG, prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and agentic AI frameworks into production systems.
- Architect and deploy AI workloads across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.
- Collaborate with engineering, data science, and product teams to streamline AI solution development.
- Establish best practices for model evaluation, responsible AI, security, and governance across Generative AI deployments.
- Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership for Generative AI adoption across the organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
- Eight or more years of relevant experience through work, military experience, or specialized training.
- Strong familiarity with Generative AI concepts, including LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, embeddings, fine-tuning, and agentic or multi-agent architectures.
- Experience building and deploying cloud-based solutions across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience with on-premise AI inference at the edge, including optimization for resource-constrained, low-latency, or disconnected environments.
- Strong security background, including designing AI security guardrails for threats such as prompt injection, data leakage, model abuse, and adversarial inputs.
- Strong verbal and written communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field is preferred.
- Experience with Gen AI platforms and tools such as Amazon Bedrock, Google Vertex AI, and LangChain is preferred.
- Experience with MLOps or LLMOps, model monitoring, fine-tuning, evaluation pipelines, and AI system delivery practices is preferred.
- Knowledge of cloud architecture across AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platform is preferred.
- Experience leading technical projects or mentoring engineering teams is preferred.
- Ability to synthesize project findings and translate them into architecture and platform recommendations is preferred.
