Responsibilities
- Deliver small, well-defined software tickets with support and communicate blockers early.
- Write readable TypeScript and C# .NET code following established team patterns and standards.
- Write unit tests, participate in code reviews, and respond to peer feedback.
- Use established Git workflows, including feature branches, clear commits, and focused pull requests.
- Apply secure coding basics such as input validation and avoiding hardcoded credentials.
- Work with existing SQL Server and PostgreSQL schemas and write straightforward queries.
- Build familiarity with Azure, Kubernetes, the Ignite platform, its architecture, and the insurance policy lifecycle.
- Maintain legacy code through small supervised fixes and contribute to sprint ceremonies.
- Set up the local development environment, seek feedback from mentors and technical leads, and present completed work to the team.
- Use AI coding assistants responsibly and understand submitted AI-generated code, coding harnesses, agents, skills, and MCP.
Requirements
- Be a student between the second and final years of a computer science or related degree.
- Be able to program in at least one language and understand object-oriented programming.
- Have basic SQL and Git knowledge.
- Specific experience with the listed technology stack is not required because it will be learned on the job.
- Developing ownership of small tickets, stronger code-review participation, more involved SQL skills, and understanding of the Customer Portal or Ignite architecture are stretch qualifications.
