Responsibilities
- Work on query understanding using AI and LLM techniques.
- Improve search relevance by incorporating user behavior and catalog knowledge.
- Develop generative recommendations and scalable feedback models.
- Build LLM-based evaluation frameworks to enhance generative systems.
- Research techniques for deploying LLMs in production environments.
- Manage graph data and knowledge discovery over grocery catalogs.
- Create temporal models for user behavior prediction.
Requirements
- Ph.D. student in computer science, mathematics, statistics, economics, or related areas.
- Strong programming skills in Python and Golang.
- Solid foundations in machine learning, algorithms, or optimization.
- Curious and self-motivated with a comfort in open-ended problem solving.
- Preferred: Ph.D. student at a top tier university in the US.
- Preferred: Hands-on experience with generative or traditional modeling frameworks.
- Preferred: Prior industry or research internship in machine learning or AI.
- Preferred: Interest in translating research ideas into scalable production systems.
