Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary technical expert for AI/ML algorithms and computational biomarker development.
  • Design, develop, implement, and optimize algorithms that transform multimodal sensor, wearable, mobile, physiological, behavioral, and contextual data into digital measurements.
  • Lead advanced modeling approaches including deep learning, representation learning, personalization, and other AI/ML methodologies.
  • Optimize algorithmic performance, reliability, scalability, and efficiency on large-scale multimodal datasets.
  • Evaluate modeling alternatives and communicate scientific and technical trade-offs.
  • Establish standards for algorithm development, reproducibility, validation, documentation, and technical quality.
  • Lead and mentor scientists and ML engineers on modeling, system design, and AI/ML challenges.
  • Partner with platform, software engineering, and MLOps teams to deliver production-ready, scalable, and maintainable solutions.
  • Contribute to computational biomarker methodology development, scientific publications, technology reviews, industry discussions, and external research collaborations.

Requirements

  • PhD in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a related quantitative discipline.
  • 10+ years of experience in AI/ML, computational biomarker development, signal processing, or data-driven health technologies.
  • Deep expertise in machine learning, statistical modeling, time-series analysis, signal processing, and multimodal data integration.
  • Proven record of developing scientifically rigorous, reproducible, and production-ready AI/ML solutions from research through deployment.
  • Experience optimizing algorithms on large-scale multimodal datasets, including wearable, mobile, physiological, behavioral, or contextual data.
  • Experience collaborating with software engineering, platform, and MLOps teams to deliver production-ready AI/ML solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide technical leadership and mentor scientists and engineers on complex modeling, algorithm design, and system architecture challenges.
  • Strong communication skills for explaining technical concepts and modeling trade-offs to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong publication record and recognized expertise in applied AI/ML, computational modeling, or digital health technologies are preferred.
  • Experience with healthcare, biosignals, wearable devices, digital biomarkers, or regulated environments is strongly advantageous.
