Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and support AFRY’s internally developed engineering tools, integrations, and digital solutions.
- Collaborate with developers, architects, QA, infrastructure, and data/AI specialists in cross-functional teams.
- Prepare and manage technical and functional requirements and documentation.
- Participate in backlog management, prioritization, risk management, and transparent reporting through Azure DevOps.
- Collaborate with IT and security teams to ensure compliant and secure solution delivery.
- Contribute to modern engineering practices, automation, and AI-assisted ways of working.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve efficiency, scalability, innovation, and collaboration across the engineering tools landscape.
Requirements
- Proven broad software development experience in cross-functional and international environments.
- Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and Agile delivery methodologies.
- Solid technical background for effective communication with engineering and IT teams.
- Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure.
- Understanding of system integrations, APIs, enterprise applications, and application architecture.
- Experience with Azure DevOps or Jira, GitLab, CI/CD, and modern development practices.
- Familiarity with AI/LLM-driven development approaches and modern collaboration tools.
- Understanding of plant engineering tools, workflows, and digital engineering environments.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills with a consultive mindset.
- Adaptability across frameworks and programming languages, with strong software engineering fundamentals.
