Base Salary
$123k - $202k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test functionality for iOS applications.
- Build software for field mapping, data collection, sensor networks, street navigation, and related use cases.
- Solve complex design, development, user experience, performance optimization, caching, synchronization, and device integration challenges.
- Collaborate with developers and designers throughout the development process and participate in design and code reviews.
- Understand user requirements and ensure applications support real-world field scenarios.
- Advocate for Apple and iOS development expertise within Esri and at conferences.
- Develop team skills, engineering practices, and best practices.
Requirements
- 5+ years of commercial software development experience.
- Experience with Objective-C and/or Swift, Xcode, and the Cocoa and Cocoa Touch APIs.
- Object-oriented design skills and knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
- Experience addressing application performance optimization and caching issues.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or mathematics.
- Strong communication, collaboration, adaptability, and independent-working skills.
- Preferred: experience submitting apps to the App Store.
- Preferred: protocol-oriented design skills.
- Preferred: experience building spatial or mapping applications or software components.
- Preferred: experience with security and/or native hardware components such as GPS and cameras.
- Preferred: experience with GIS, RESTful web services, or Git.
- A master’s degree in computer science, GIS, or a related field is preferred.
