Responsibilities
- Complete four six-month rotations across technical domains including AI/Machine Learning, DevOps, systems engineering, firmware, testing, systems software, and product management.
- Design, build, and deploy software applications while contributing to production codebases and real-world projects.
- Explore and implement emerging technologies, including AI-powered developer tools, to improve workflows, code quality, and automation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve technical challenges, refine user experiences, and advance product goals.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
- Up to three years of relevant experience or at least one prior technical internship.
- Strong programming ability in C++ or C# and scripting experience in Python, JavaScript, Bash, Shell, Ruby, or Perl.
- Full legal entitlement to work in New Zealand.
- Preferred qualifications include experience in computer vision, photogrammetry, 3D modeling, artificial intelligence, signal processing, image recognition, or GNSS.
- Familiarity with the Agile software development lifecycle and AI-powered tools such as GitHub Copilot or ChatGPT.
- Recent leadership experience in university projects or community organizations.
