Base Salary
$207k - $300k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect and design resilient, high-performance distributed systems and backend services for large-scale IaaS and container networking platforms.
- Develop and optimize production-grade Go and C++ code for Kubernetes components, custom controllers, and orchestration engines.
- Build and evolve software-defined networking, network virtualization, and data center connectivity layers.
- Drive reliability and performance improvements through testing frameworks, telemetry, and fault-tolerant architecture.
- Mentor engineers, lead technical strategy, collaborate cross-functionally, and engage with the open-source and cloud-native ecosystem.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 8 years of experience programming in C++.
- At least 5 years of experience testing and launching software products.
- At least 5 years of experience building large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems, networks, compute technologies, storage, or hardware architecture.
- At least 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
- Preferred: master's degree or PhD in engineering, computer science, or a related technical field.
- Preferred: 8 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
- Preferred: 3 years of experience in technical leadership, leading project teams, and setting technical direction.
- Preferred: 3 years of experience working in complex, matrixed organizations across cross-functional or cross-business projects.
