Base Salary
$325k - $410k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the design, implementation, operation, and evolution of platform systems used across research and production.
- Define how data is accessed, validated, orchestrated, and catalogued across the strategy lifecycle.
- Build deployment processes that move research experiments into production smoothly.
- Integrate data from diverse vendors and unify symbol mappings for consistency.
- Develop data pipelines with appropriate temporal semantics, latency, and correctness guarantees.
- Sequence platform migrations toward shared abstractions while minimizing disruption to active trading systems.
- Lead complex cross-company projects involving research, legal, trading, finance operations, data, and infrastructure teams.
- Build tooling for integrating new assets and markets and improve observability through data cataloguing, experiment tracking, and production SLAs.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in backend, data pipelines, or platform engineering.
- Experience owning platform systems used daily by other teams and making decomposition decisions involving data access layers, API versioning, data models, and migration sequencing.
- Strong debugging and observability skills, including the ability to navigate unfamiliar codebases and datasets across complex data pipelines.
- Computer Science degree or equivalent experience.
