Base Salary
$140k - $260k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop features that help creators grow their audiences and businesses on Substack.
- Build custom websites and reusable tools for publication identity and customization.
- Build audience tools that help publishers reach readers and understand performance.
- Collaborate with designers, engineers, product partners, and external customers from concept through deployment.
- Own work end to end while communicating progress and blockers and maintaining high standards for production systems.
Requirements
- 3–6 years of professional software engineering experience, including building and shipping web applications.
- Ability to take initiative, communicate clearly, work independently, and ask for help when appropriate.
- Commitment to high standards for production systems and elegant product experiences.
- Ability to collaborate with a diverse group of thinkers.
- Interest in Substack’s mission to build a better business model for writing.
