Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize signal processing algorithms for electrical and optical communications measurements.
- Invent and implement measurement techniques for characterizing signal quality, impairments, and system performance.
- Develop calibration, correction, and compensation algorithms to improve measurement accuracy, repeatability, and instrument performance.
- Create customer-facing software features that simplify complex measurement workflows.
- Build automated test frameworks and validation tools for algorithm performance and measurement integrity.
- Analyze large waveform datasets and translate measurement results into engineering insights.
- Collaborate with software, hardware, firmware, and systems engineering teams across the product lifecycle.
- Document and present technical innovations to global engineering teams.
- Support customer success by presenting technical solutions and occasionally working directly with customers on advanced measurement challenges.
Requirements
- BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or a related technical discipline.
- Strong foundation in mathematical analysis, digital signal processing, and algorithm development.
- Substantial evidence of high-quality code development, including competence with and without AI code-generation assistance.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, collaboration, verbal communication, and written communication skills.
- Interest in software development and hands-on laboratory experimentation.
- Significant programming experience in C++ or C#, with knowledge of one or more of MATLAB, Python, and .NET Framework preferred.
- Experience with Visual Studio and Azure DevOps environments is preferred.
- Experience with communications systems, modulation techniques, oscilloscopes, optical or RF measurement systems, end-to-end software feature development, automated testing, or validation frameworks is preferred.
- Knowledge of FFT and spectral analysis, digital filtering, sampling and interpolation, equalization, MLSE, optical communications, high-speed serial communications, or instrument calibration is desirable.
- Research projects, advanced coursework, internships, patents, publications, or commercial product development demonstrating innovation are valued.
