Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with R&D teams to define security needs and implement product and system-wide security controls.
- Coordinate with electrical, hardware, software, architecture, and manufacturing teams to address embedded security requirements.
- Identify security requirements and vulnerabilities across embedded hardware, firmware, software, microprocessors, system designs, and architectures.
- Develop tools, processes, and policies covering prevention, detection, resolution, supply-chain security, and manufacturing security.
- Conduct incident response, vulnerability assessments, cybersecurity control validation, and mitigation implementation for embedded products and devices.
- Evaluate cybersecurity controls and implement countermeasures for emerging embedded-system threats.
- Support hardware and third-party software, security tool, and vendor selection.
- Prepare security deliverables for regulatory bodies and contract requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- At least two years of experience in cybersecurity and embedded hardware.
- CompTIA Security+, GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC), or an equivalent verifiable credentialed certification.
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain or hold a DoD Secret security clearance.
- Experience or knowledge in wireless or network communications, hardware components and PCBA integration, cryptographic algorithms and protocols, side-channel or fault-injection attacks, and hardware security analysis is desired.
- Experience using manual methods and automated tools for cybersecurity control testing and validation is desired.
- Additional desired certifications include CISSP, CISM, CASP, CEH, and OCSP or equivalent credentials.
- Experience with ISO 27001, NIST Cybersecurity standards and guidance, and NISPOM requirements is desired.
- Strong communication, analytical, organizational, presentation, computer, and independent-judgment skills are desired.
