Base Salary
$115k - $135k/yr
Responsibilities
- Analyze system requirements allocated to software for correctness, feasibility, and appropriateness.
- Develop high-level and low-level software requirements for airborne functionality.
- Architect and design embedded software within hardware, design, and resource constraints.
- Develop C and Assembly software for ARM microcontroller targets.
- Integrate software with other software and target hardware.
- Measure, troubleshoot, and resolve software timing and performance issues.
- Perform peer reviews of software project contributions.
- Inform the software verification team about appropriate testing and analysis activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of real-time embedded software development experience.
- Experience with engineering and software architecture or design.
- Proficiency in C programming.
- Knowledge of Texas Instruments Hercules and/or STM ARM microcontrollers, or equivalent.
- Ability to read electrical schematics, technical documentation, reference manuals, and datasheets.
- Experience with programmable power supplies, signal generators, oscilloscopes, bus analyzers, or similar electronics lab equipment.
- Knowledge of activities and outputs required for RTCA DO-178C compliance.
- Preferred experience with Cortex-R5F ARM, C2000, or Infineon TriCore microcontrollers.
- Preferred experience with Lauterbach TRACE32, embedded toolchains, Polarion ALM, electric motor control, battery management, or flight control systems.
- Preferred knowledge of SPI, I2C, CAN, ARINC 429, Ethernet, analog-to-digital converters, DMA controllers, and temperature, voltage, and current sensors.
- Preferred familiarity with RTCA DO-330 and RTCA DO-331 objectives, activities, and outputs.
