Base Salary
$159k - $277k/yr
Responsibilities
- Write highly scalable software with strong concurrency and memory-utilization practices.
- Contribute to data management strategies covering scalability, efficiency, and security.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on data-related initiatives.
- Investigate data problems such as data loss detection and recovery.
- Promote data best practices and security standards across the organization.
- Monitor and optimize data performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements.
- Work with distributed storage systems and Kubernetes-based deployments.
- Use AI tools to solve data and distributed-systems problems while applying appropriate guardrails and judgment.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of software development experience with a bachelor’s degree, 5 years with a master’s degree, 3 years with a PhD, or equivalent work experience.
- Proficiency in Java, data structures and algorithms, concurrency, and parallel programming.
- Working knowledge of databases, data modeling, data storage technologies, relational databases, cloud systems, and distributed systems.
- Deep knowledge of Kubernetes and hands-on Kubernetes service deployment experience is a strong plus.
- Working knowledge of S3 and Apache Iceberg.
- Familiarity with the ServiceNow platform is a plus.
- Working knowledge of JavaScript is beneficial for cross-functional collaboration.
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools and related guardrails or processes is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
