Responsibilities
- Lead and expand data loss prevention capabilities to protect Coinbase from data security incidents.
- Execute the long-term strategy for the Data prevention program to enhance security posture.
- Evaluate and direct complex designs/controls across a decentralized tech environment.
- Implement and deploy DLP tools in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Enhance operational efficiency across DLP Engineering & Operations using AI.
- Champion a streamlined and scalable approach towards DLP operations.
- Produce metrics to inform Data Protection Leadership of programmatic impact.
- Collaborate with Security and Privacy Teams on data protection initiatives.
- Mentor peers and share knowledge to foster a culture of excellence.
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure timely remediation of security issues.
- Measure control effectiveness and address changes in laws/regulations globally.
Requirements
- Experienced in security engineering within the data protection space.
- Technical acumen to solve operational issues with engineering solutions.
- Direct experience with data loss prevention controls across multiple OS.
- Comfortable manipulating controls for various operating systems and datasets.
- Adept at creating scalable processes and leveraging ML/AI for efficiency.
- Discreet and thoughtful in cross-functional risk mitigation efforts.
- Awareness of the insider threat landscape and legal considerations.
- Experience with Insider Threat technologies and investigations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Team-oriented with the ability to adapt as a novice or expert.
- Proven understanding of business dynamics and product strategy.
- Ability to balance business needs and deliver high-quality solutions.
