Base Salary
$155k - $175k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain web application features using Node, TypeScript, React, MongoDB, Next.js, and NestJS.
- Develop software that meets user requirements and performance standards in medical or diagnostics information environments.
- Transition legacy systems from PHP, Go, and Angular to Node, Python, and React.
- Refactor and optimize codebases supporting clinical or genomic data.
- Design, query, and manage MySQL and MongoDB data in compliance with privacy requirements.
- Support application deployment and management on AWS.
- Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, collaboration, and delivery activities.
- Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests and conduct peer code reviews.
- Create development design and code standards and ensure adherence during reviews.
- Provide technical guidance and training to team members.
- Collaborate with teams across the US, EU, and Asia with at least two hours of business-hours overlap.
- Potentially oversee contractors.
Requirements
- Experience with Node, TypeScript, React, and AWS.
- Required experience working in a medical, diagnostics, or genomic information setting.
- Experience working in a regulated healthcare environment.
- Proficiency in full-stack development across front-end, back-end, and databases.
- Experience with user experience, software testing, and a test-driven development mindset.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and strong collaboration and communication skills.
- Ability to solve complex problems, learn continuously, adapt to new tools, and manage competing priorities.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred experience with SQL, PHP, Go, Python, or Angular.
- Preferred understanding of legacy-system transitions.
- Preferred familiarity with CDK, Terraform, CI/CD, GitHub Actions, and containerized applications.
- Preferred master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- Preferred AWS certifications, agile-methodology training, and GitLab or GitHub projects available for review.
- Ability to maintain secure remote-work equipment, a professional home office, and reliable high-speed internet.
