Responsibilities
- Help develop and implement the organization’s Application Security and DevSecOps strategy.
- Partner with engineering and application teams to operationalize security principles, processes, and tooling.
- Assist application teams with onboarding, security tool integrations, and vendor troubleshooting.
- Support GenAI model security scanning, vulnerability triage, and remediation.
- Deliver security reporting through dashboards and metrics.
- Develop and maintain AppSec and DevSecOps documentation and support audit activities.
- Improve DevSecOps and Application Security processes and tools in a hybrid cloud environment.
- Provide technical support for projects through completion and coordinate multiple priorities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field.
- 8–12 years of relevant experience, including software development and software development lifecycle experience.
- Extensive application security experience with SAST, DAST, SCA, and container security scanning.
- Experience developing software with Java, .NET, Python, or Node.js.
- Experience with cloud technologies such as Azure and AWS.
- Experience with application security tooling, modern CI/CD, and DevSecOps practices.
- Experience with automation and orchestration tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or Kubernetes is valuable.
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code and automated deployment and management in hybrid cloud environments is beneficial.
- Current information security certification such as CISSP, or another cybersecurity certification such as Security+.
- Experience with Agile and Scrum practices, strong communication skills, and the ability to influence engineering teams without authority.
