Base Salary

$118k - $202k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain non-embedded software throughout the end-to-end lifecycle.
  • Translate customer requirements into software product designs and maintain software architecture, requirements, algorithms, interfaces, and designs.
  • Develop, enhance, optimize, and integrate software products and functionalities.
  • Debug and resolve software issues to improve product reliability and efficiency.
  • Handle user inquiries, troubleshoot technical issues, and analyze user feedback.
  • Implement relevant technologies, tools, frameworks, and regulatory changes in software development.
  • Develop and improve software processes, tools, metrics, and project-alignment practices.
  • Execute and document software research and development projects.
  • Advise on software domains, system-specific issues, processes, and regulations.
  • Perform software project management and supplier management activities.
  • Track and evaluate software team and supplier performance for compliance with project plans and industry standards.

Requirements

  • At least three years of experience with Ada and Python.
  • At least three years of experience with real-time operating systems, VxWorks, HVP, and Wind River.
  • At least three years of experience building Docker images and using GitLab, CI/CD pipelines, VxWorks Workbench, Git, and VS Code Dev Containers.
  • At least three years of experience with SAFe Agile and GitLab.
  • Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
  • Five or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred for the senior level.
  • Knowledge of software specifications, standards, change control, architecture, design methodologies, requirements traceability, development processes, and verification and validation practices.
  • Ability to build, integrate, troubleshoot, and synthesize software components, architectures, and designs.
  • Knowledge of host environments, processors, operating systems, networks, programming languages, databases, and software development tools.
  • Knowledge of aircraft or other aerospace software domains, certification systems, supplier assessment, project deliverables, project accounting, and project management tools.
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance; U.S. citizenship is required for the clearance.
