Responsibilities
- Build and improve deployment pipelines across development, test, and production environments.
- Own source control, infrastructure-as-code, configuration management, release management, monitoring, observability, and environment lifecycles.
- Provision and manage secure, resilient, and scalable infrastructure supporting MES platforms.
- Deploy, configure, patch, upgrade, and provide operational support for MES platforms, preferably Emerson Syncade.
- Establish development standards, branching strategies, code review practices, release governance, and change control for regulated manufacturing.
- Collaborate with software engineering, QA, MES vendors, system integrators, and business stakeholders on automated deployments and infrastructure-as-code.
- Implement automated testing and quality gates in deployment pipelines.
- Set up monitoring, logging, and alerting for platform health and performance.
- Support CSV, audit readiness, disaster recovery, business continuity, and compliant deployment records.
- Act as the technical authority and escalation point for complex infrastructure, deployment, and operational issues.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience as a DevOps Lead or Senior DevOps Engineer on complex enterprise programs.
- Hands-on development experience with a strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and modern DevOps practices.
- Strong CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, automation, and scripting skills.
- Experience managing enterprise application environments, including release management, configuration management, and infrastructure provisioning.
- Strong experience supporting MES platforms across deployment, configuration, upgrades, and operational support; Emerson Syncade experience is preferred.
- Experience in regulated pharmaceutical or life sciences environments is preferred, with knowledge of GxP, CSV, and GAMP 5.
- Familiarity with MES integrations involving SAP, LIMS, and historian systems, as well as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
