Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, operate, and maintain embedded software, firmware, and computing systems software.
- Support requirements, design, coding, testing, debugging, integration, and maintenance across the full software development life cycle.
- Develop software for Linux or VxWorks real-time operating systems using C/C++ and scripting languages.
- Apply software architecture, design patterns, object-oriented design, development processes, and engineering tools.
- Develop CI/CD pipelines and use version-control, software-planning, and modeling tools.
- Integrate and test embedded software on target hardware and interface with customers, suppliers, users, and technical personnel.
- Support engineering applications and products for multidomain sensing, targeting, and survivability programs.
- Travel occasionally to support program and customer needs.
Requirements
- Principal level: bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related STEM field plus 5+ years of relevant engineering experience; alternatively, 3+ years with a relevant master’s degree or 1+ year with a PhD.
- Senior Principal level: bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related STEM field plus 8+ years of engineering experience; alternatively, 6+ years with a relevant master’s degree or 4+ years with a PhD.
- Experience with object-oriented programming in C/C++ and scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Batch.
- Experience developing embedded software for Linux or VxWorks real-time operating systems.
- Familiarity with software architecture, design patterns, and object-oriented design.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipeline development, software development methodologies, version-control systems, Agile planning tools, and modeling tools.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain at least a Secret clearance and any additional customer-specified clearance before starting.
- Preferred qualifications include embedded software testing, debugging, and integration on target hardware, active Secret clearance, and demonstrated leadership, teamwork, and communication skills.
