Responsibilities
- Develop expertise in the HPSE security architecture and its interactions with hardware security, operating-system components, and other security services.
- Build, implement, test, debug, and maintain C-based PKCS#11 software and interfaces within DRIVE OS and other Tegra deployments.
- Collaborate with software, hardware, system architecture, safety, security, quality, and customer-facing teams to resolve specifications and integration issues.
- Investigate complex system, integration, and customer-reported issues, communicate technical findings, and drive issues to closure.
- Build and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end tests while improving test automation and software quality.
- Participate in code reviews, build discussions, documentation, development, and release activities.
- Follow applicable product lifecycle, safety, security, and quality processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical area.
- 2–4+ years of professional experience.
- Outstanding C programming and debugging skills with the ability to write clear, reliable, and maintainable code.
- Strong foundations in data structures, operating systems, computer architecture, and software engineering practices.
- Ability to learn complex systems, work analytically, and collaborate with distributed cross-functional teams.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills for explaining technical trade-offs and collaborating on customer requirements.
- A proactive, quality-focused approach and interest in safety- and security-conscious engineering.
- Preferred experience includes Linux or QNX embedded systems, ARM-based SoCs, platform security, device and driver connectivity, and Python for test automation or tooling.
- Preferred knowledge includes Rust, applied cryptography, PKCS#11, key management, hardware security modules, secure boot, roots of trust, trusted execution environments, and hardware/software security boundaries.
- Preferred familiarity includes ISO 26262, ISO 21434, product lifecycle practices, requirements traceability, configuration management, verification, release-quality practices, CI/CD, source control, code review, automated testing, and hardware/software integration debugging.
