Responsibilities
- Contribute to core software components for Apex.AI products, particularly Apex.Grace and Apex.Ida.
- Build and maintain software platform capabilities, middleware features, developer tooling, and runtime infrastructure.
- Improve platform performance, reliability, scalability, and maintainability.
- Debug and resolve complex software and system-level issues.
- Develop automated tests, CI workflows, and engineering tooling.
- Collaborate with platform, product, and applications teams on production-quality software.
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and software design activities.
- Improve developer workflows and platform usability.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Robotics, or a related technical field.
- Strong software engineering and computer science fundamentals.
- Experience with modern C++ through coursework, internships, personal projects, or early professional work.
- Familiarity with Python or scripting languages, Linux-based systems, Git, and modern software development workflows.
- Interest in distributed systems, middleware, runtime systems, or embedded software.
- Strong debugging, analytical, problem-solving, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
- Preferred experience includes ROS/ROS 2, DDS, shared memory IPC, networking APIs, TCP/IP, sockets programming, Linux system programming, CI/CD workflows, automated testing, robotics, autonomous systems, embedded software, CMake, Bazel, distributed systems, and real-time systems.
- Internship or academic experience involving systems programming or developer platforms is preferred.
