Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test solutions and frameworks using C# and development-team standards.
- Create reliable, scalable automated tests while reducing manual testing.
- Investigate test failures, troubleshoot issues, and perform root cause analysis, including reviewing application code when needed.
- Develop, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines for software delivery.
- Collaborate with engineers, product owners, and stakeholders on software design, user story refinement, and acceptance criteria.
- Use AI-powered development tools such as GitHub Copilot and ChatGPT to improve test development and productivity.
- Mentor team members on automation best practices and contribute to automation initiatives.
- Act as a subject matter expert and promote quality, innovation, and engineering excellence.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of hands-on C# experience, including unit and integration testing, mocks, stubs, and mocking frameworks.
- At least 2 years of API testing experience.
- Strong experience designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks.
- Experience with test automation, technical testing, and quality engineering practices.
- Experience with Docker and building or optimizing CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of software testing concepts, processes, methodologies, and best practices.
- Understanding of web technologies, RESTful APIs, web services, and application servers.
- Familiarity with or strong interest in AI-powered tools such as GitHub Copilot and ChatGPT.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to participate in and drive technical discussions and adapt to complex environments.
- Preferred experience mentoring team members, working in cloud environments, performance or end-to-end testing, software architecture discussions, Agile delivery teams, energy trading, financial services, or other highly transactional systems.
