Responsibilities
- Serve as a subject-matter expert on Stripe Link and accelerate global customer opportunities.
- Advise customers on checkout optimization, payment authentication, saved payment methods, and conversion improvement.
- Guide customers through Link integration patterns including embedded checkout, Stripe.js, and direct API flows.
- Explain how Link interacts with Radar, Billing, and Connect across the broader Stripe platform.
- Create reference architectures, reusable assets, and best practices for the go-to-market organization.
- Partner with sales on strategic opportunities, lead solution strategy, and own key customer relationships.
- Provide customer and market insights to product and engineering teams and influence roadmap prioritization.
- Identify trends in checkout UX, wallets, passkeys, and network-based authentication.
- Escalate complex technical issues to Stripe engineering and stay current on competitive differentiation.
- Support executive briefings, conferences, user groups, and trade shows.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in pre-sales, solutions architecture, or technical consulting focused on online payments or e-commerce.
- Strong knowledge of checkout optimization, conversion metrics, cart abandonment, and relevant UX and technical levers.
- Familiarity with 3DS, passkeys, network tokenization, and their effects on authorization rates.
- Experience designing payment flows and integrations for large enterprises, including multi-market and multi-currency scenarios.
- Strong knowledge of software engineering and API integration patterns.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to build collaborative relationships and work effectively in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
- Preferred: experience integrating Stripe or other RESTful APIs into web applications.
- Preferred: experience with A/B testing or analytics frameworks for checkout optimization.
- Preferred: familiarity with Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, Shop Pay, and one-click checkout ecosystems.
- Preferred: experience as a subject-matter expert in a relevant industry, vertical, or product.
