Base Salary

$170k - $230k/yr

Responsibilities

Lead the design, development, and operation of cloud infrastructure for the WHOOP Data Platform.
Implement best practice infrastructure-as-code with tools like Terraform and CloudFormation.
Architect internal frameworks for secure data workflows, including encryption and IAM policies.
Enhance CI/CD tooling and platform automation for data services and analytics pipelines.
Champion observability and incident response practices, including monitoring and alerting.
Mentor engineers on cloud best practices and secure infrastructure design patterns.
Own cross-organization initiatives to improve team velocity and infrastructure reliability.
Partner with Data Engineering, ML Operations, Security, and Compliance teams.

8+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, SRE, or related roles.
Deep hands-on expertise with AWS infrastructure and services.
Advanced proficiency in infrastructure-as-code frameworks like Terraform and CloudFormation.
Strong background in CI/CD pipeline development and infrastructure automation.
Proven experience building compliant systems aligned with HIPAA and GDPR.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Demonstrated ability to mentor and influence engineers.
Strong commitment to leveraging AI tools in day-to-day tasks.
