Responsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain, and execute automated test cases for native Android and iOS mobile features.
- Test in-app purchase, checkout, payment processing, and subscription lifecycle flows, including trials, renewals, and cancellations.
- Execute manual and automated tests across development and staging environments and document results.
- Analyze test failures, perform initial troubleshooting and debugging, and escalate complex root-cause analysis.
- Log, track, and help resolve defects using JIRA.
- Contribute test automation code to shared Git repositories using established branching and merge practices.
- Run automated test suites in existing CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions and flag pipeline issues.
- Collaborate with development teams to translate feature requirements into test cases.
- Build proficiency in mobile automation tooling and testing practices with guidance from the Lead Software Validation Engineer.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 2–3 years of experience in software quality assurance or testing, including exposure to Android and/or iOS application testing.
- Working knowledge of XCTest/XCUIAutomation and/or Jetpack Compose Test API and Espresso, or strong ability to learn these tools with mentorship.
- Basic understanding of e-commerce, in-app purchase, or subscription feature flows.
- Familiarity with Git and defect or test management tools such as JIRA.
- Strong attention to detail and clear written communication for test documentation and defect reporting.
- Advanced English skills.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions is a preferred qualification.
- Exposure to payment processing testing with Stripe or similar tools is preferred.
- Basic familiarity with web test automation such as Playwright is preferred.
- Exposure to ISTQB testing principles is preferred.
