Responsibilities
- Design, build, maintain, and evolve a scalable Design System and reusable component library.
- Develop high-quality, accessible, responsive, and reusable UI components.
- Collaborate with Product Designers, UX Researchers, Product Managers, and Engineering teams.
- Define and enforce Design System standards, guidelines, governance processes, and best practices.
- Translate design tokens, patterns, and specifications into production-ready code.
- Drive Design System adoption across multiple teams and business units.
- Ensure compliance with WCAG accessibility standards and responsive design principles.
- Monitor system performance, scalability, usability, and adoption improvements.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership for front-end architecture decisions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
- 5-10 years of experience in Front-End Engineering, UI Engineering, or Design System development.
- Strong expertise in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and modern front-end frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with React and component-based architecture.
- Experience building and maintaining enterprise-scale Design Systems.
- Strong understanding of Design Tokens, Atomic Design, and Component Libraries.
- Experience with Storybook, Figma, and design-to-development workflows.
- Knowledge of WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards and responsive design principles.
- Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with Design System governance and adoption strategies is preferred.
- Knowledge of micro-frontends and scalable UI architectures is preferred.
- Experience integrating Design Systems across web and mobile platforms is preferred.
- Familiarity with Jest, Cypress, or Playwright is preferred.
- Experience in large enterprise or product-based environments is preferred.
- Experience with Angular or Vue.js, Tailwind CSS, or Material UI is a plus.
- Contributions to open-source Design Systems or component libraries and experience with enterprise digital transformation initiatives are a plus.
