Responsibilities

  • Design and build integrations with Getty’s internal CMS APIs to connect content workflows with public-facing visitor experiences.
  • Develop and maintain scalable design token systems in collaboration with UX/UI designers.
  • Build performant, accessible Vue.js frontend applications with reusable components and smooth interactive experiences.
  • Support CI/CD pipelines and reliable delivery of frontend and backend code.
  • Promote frontend testing, development best practices, and efficient local development and UI packaging workflows.
  • Collaborate with UX researchers, designers, product stakeholders, and subject matter experts on digital experiences.
  • Participate in technical design, implementation, testing, and code review across the software development lifecycle.
  • Provide constructive peer feedback and contribute to engineering excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or a combination of education and relevant experience.
  • 5–8 years of software development experience.
  • Experience with ES6 JavaScript and contemporary JavaScript practices.
  • Experience with component-based web development using Vue.js and Vite.
  • Experience implementing visual and design token systems.
  • Experience with web accessibility considerations, unit testing, and end-to-end testing.
  • Experience with static-site generation tools, Git, and GitHub.
  • Working knowledge of server-side rendering patterns and server-side JavaScript/Node.js.
  • Familiarity with CMS platforms and content API integrations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, intellectual curiosity, humility, and interest in cultural heritage or digital visitor experiences.
  • Preferred: design systems expertise, Figma collaboration, Docker and AWS, and spec-driven development using API specifications and technical contracts.
