Responsibilities
- Design and implement intelligent user experiences that leverage Large Language Models.
- Build orchestration layers for Retrieval-Augmented Generation using data and services from multiple providers.
- Conduct prompt engineering, prompt tuning, systematic evaluation, and iteration using quality and consistency metrics.
- Define infrastructure interfaces with the platform team for low-latency model serving and secure data handling.
- Partner with design and client-side teams to deliver intuitive AI features across Siri, Spotlight, and Safari.
- Translate product requirements into engineering tasks and contribute product-focused technical direction.
Requirements
- 3+ years of industry-related experience in collaborative environments.
- Experience with prompt engineering and prompt tuning, including systematic evaluation and iteration.
- Proficiency in at least two programming languages such as C/C++, Go, Python, or Java.
- Strong product sense focused on the end-user experience.
- Excellent problem-solving, critical-thinking, and communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or 2 years of equivalent work experience.
- Preferred: consumer-facing product experience.
- Preferred: in-depth server-side development and deployment experience.
- Preferred: advanced degree in Computer Science.
