Responsibilities
- Develop and improve instrumentation for monitoring and logging services.
- Maintain the observability stack within Dialpad engineering.
- Define best practices for system measurability and collaborate with teams to apply them.
- Create tools and libraries for self-monitoring capabilities.
- Produce and manage internal documentation for engineering teams.
- Stay updated with trends in observability and introduce innovative solutions.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate observability practices into workflows.
- Participate in a rotating on-call within the Infrastructure Engineering division.
Requirements
- Background in Systems and/or Software Engineering.
- Experience in designing and optimizing observability platforms.
- Familiarity with configuration management tools like Ansible or Terraform.
- Experience with Public Cloud environments such as GCP or AWS.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Go, or Rust.
