Responsibilities
- Drive technical direction for Pegasus training infrastructure and training operations while remaining hands-on in system design and implementation.
- Design and evolve scalable, reliable, reproducible, and efficient end-to-end distributed training pipelines.
- Lead technical decisions across data curation workflows, training systems, evaluation pipelines, and ML infrastructure.
- Automate the training lifecycle to move research ideas into robust production model development.
- Mentor engineers, conduct design reviews, and improve the team’s technical execution.
- Evaluate and adopt AI-assisted development tools including Claude, Gemini, and GPT.
Requirements
- Significant experience building and productionizing large-scale ML systems as a hands-on individual contributor.
- Experience driving technical direction and making architectural decisions for complex ML infrastructure or training systems.
- Strong experience with distributed training systems, training infrastructure, or large-scale data processing pipelines.
- Strong machine learning foundations and experience with multimodal vision, language, or video models.
- Strong technical judgment in system design, performance, reliability, reproducibility, and maintainability.
- A track record of mentoring engineers and creating technical leverage beyond individual contributions.
- Preferred: experience building data curation, evaluation, or training workflow infrastructure.
- Preferred: experience optimizing distributed training in high-performance GPU environments.
- Preferred: experience with cutting-edge accelerator hardware and large-scale multimodal model training.
- Preferred: a Master’s or PhD in Machine Learning, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
