Responsibilities

  • Lead Wi-Fi validation activities covering product quality, performance, reliability, and interoperability.
  • Define and implement testing strategies, validation plans, test topologies, and quality processes for Wi-Fi features and solutions.
  • Develop and execute automated validation tests using Python and Shell scripting.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot complex Wi-Fi issues, identify root causes, and drive defect resolution.
  • Review product requirements and designs to improve test coverage, testability, and quality.
  • Collaborate with firmware, software, product management, test, customer-facing, and geographically distributed teams.
  • Mentor engineering teams on validation methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Drive continuous improvement in test automation, validation frameworks, and release quality.

Requirements

  • 8-12 years of experience.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in ECE, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of WLAN standards, including IEEE 802.11, and wireless networking concepts.
  • Good understanding of TCP/IP networking protocols and network troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on experience with test automation using Python and Shell scripting.
  • Experience with software release management, version control, CI/CD tools, and Git.
  • Ability to develop test strategies, test topologies, validation plans, and test cases.
  • Experience with defect tracking, root cause analysis, and bug management tools.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to review product designs and provide proactive feedback on testability and quality.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and effective cross-functional collaboration skills.
