Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, test, and deploy robust data solutions and architecture diagrams.
- Lead hands-on coding and testing for data engineering initiatives and ensure quality and reliability of deliverables.
- Use Collibra and Starburst to support data governance, data mesh, data management, and integration.
- Perform complex SQL queries and data analyses to support business decisions.
- Design, implement, and test APIs and data solutions using Python.
- Estimate project efforts, coordinate and prioritize multiple projects, and mentor contractors and junior team members.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, present project status and technical insights, and align solutions with business goals.
- Work with AI/ML teams on LLM-powered applications, intelligent assistants, enterprise semantic search, and related data use cases.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 8+ years of hands-on experience in the data space, including demonstrated expertise in financial services.
- Extensive experience with data lakes, data governance, data mesh, and data warehouses.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL for data analysis and testing.
- Demonstrated Python programming experience and expertise with APIs.
- Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines, Agile methodologies, and project management tools such as Jira.
- Familiarity with data solutions supporting AI/ML workloads, including MCP, knowledge graphs, and vector databases.
- Preferred experience with Collibra Data Governance, Starburst Data Mesh, marketplace architecture for AI/ML workloads, LLM/RAG, semantic search, and NLP applications.
- Strong project management, communication, presentation, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
