Responsibilities

Support development and modification of embedded systems firmware for assigned product features and enhancements.
Assist with debugging, troubleshooting, and resolving defined firmware issues using established tools and methods.
Perform bench-level testing using debuggers, protocol analyzers, oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power analyzers.
Participate in unit testing, code verification, and basic validation of firmware changes.
Work with engineers and cross-functional partners to gather information for assigned tasks.
Follow development processes, coding standards, and configuration management procedures.
Report task status in project team meetings and complete assigned deliverables accurately and on time.

0-2 years of professional experience in firmware, embedded software, or a related engineering area.
Foundational knowledge of C/C++ programming concepts and object-oriented design practices.
Ability to support debugging, testing, and documentation within a defined scope and under guidance.
BS degree student in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline is valued.
Knowledge of 8-bit, 16-bit, and 32-bit microcontrollers is preferred.
Internship, co-op, or academic project experience in firmware or embedded systems is valued.
Knowledge of RS-232, I2C, SPI, and UART bus protocols is valued.
Experience with Python, Jira, Confluence, and Slack is valued.
Familiarity with version control, issue tracking, basic software testing tools, and hardware/software interaction in embedded products is valued.
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills are valued.
