Responsibilities
- Design, build, and evolve scalable, secure, reliable, and cost-efficient cloud platform capabilities.
- Create automated, reusable, and self-service solutions that improve developer experience and delivery consistency.
- Drive platform design quality, engineering standards, automation, reliability, and cost optimisation.
- Embed best practices that simplify and standardise how services are built and operated.
- Influence technical direction and collaborate across teams on cloud-native solutions.
- Mentor and support the development of other engineers.
- Resolve complex technical challenges and make strategic engineering decisions.
Requirements
- Extensive experience with public cloud services and cloud-native architectures, including networking, security, and governance.
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation.
- Proficiency with scripting languages such as Python and Bash for complex automation workflows.
- Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker containerisation, and Kubernetes orchestration.
- Deep understanding of cloud security frameworks, identity management, and compliance standards such as ISO, SOC, and GDPR.
- Proven ability to design scalable, resilient, and cost-efficient cloud solutions in enterprise environments.
- Strong analytical and communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to varied stakeholders.
- Experience mentoring or supporting the development of other engineers.
