Base Salary

$117k - $150k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design and document software architecture and concepts for technical and non-technical requirements.
  • Ensure software scalability, efficiency, and use across global vehicle products.
  • Align the CI/CD toolchain with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Debug functional and non-functional issues, identify root causes, and provide resolutions.
  • Research software solutions and best practices within and outside the automotive industry.
  • Coordinate global internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers.
  • Organize software development processes across the Driver Experience domain.
  • Coach and mentor team members and colleagues across development methodologies and execution.
  • Create documentation, reports, and presentations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
  • 5–7 years of software development experience.
  • Expertise in software development and embedded software development using agile methods.
  • Experience with Android, Kanzi, and Matlab/Simulink.
  • Experience with service-oriented architectures.
  • Ability to identify and solve the root causes of complex problems.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, analytical thinking, problem-solving, reliability, and self-motivation.
  • Ability to coordinate across global teams and work amid ambiguity and ongoing change.
  • An attached resume is required.
  • Preferred qualifications include several years of Daimler Truck HMI software development, familiarity with Daimler Truck HMI platform development processes, and experience engineering Daimler Truck products.
