Responsibilities
- Design and document software architecture and concepts for technical and non-technical requirements.
- Ensure software scalability, efficiency, and use across global vehicle products.
- Align the CI/CD toolchain with internal and external stakeholders.
- Debug functional and non-functional issues, identify root causes, and provide resolutions.
- Research software solutions and best practices within and outside the automotive industry.
- Coordinate global internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers.
- Organize software development processes across the Driver Experience domain.
- Coach and mentor team members and colleagues across development methodologies and execution.
- Create documentation, reports, and presentations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
- 5–7 years of software development experience.
- Expertise in software development and embedded software development using agile methods.
- Experience with Android, Kanzi, and Matlab/Simulink.
- Experience with service-oriented architectures.
- Ability to identify and solve the root causes of complex problems.
- Strong verbal and written communication, analytical thinking, problem-solving, reliability, and self-motivation.
- Ability to coordinate across global teams and work amid ambiguity and ongoing change.
- An attached resume is required.
- Preferred qualifications include several years of Daimler Truck HMI software development, familiarity with Daimler Truck HMI platform development processes, and experience engineering Daimler Truck products.
