Responsibilities
- Design and document software architecture and concepts for technical and non-technical requirements.
- Ensure software scalability, efficiency, and usage across global vehicle products.
- Align the CI/CD toolchain with internal and external stakeholders.
- Research software solutions and best practices within and outside the automotive industry.
- Debug functional and non-functional issues, identify root causes, and provide resolutions.
- Coordinate internal, external, and supplier stakeholders across global teams.
- Organize the software development process across the driver-experience domain.
- Coach and mentor team members and colleagues from development methodologies through execution.
- Create documentation, reports, and presentations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
- 5–7 years of software development experience.
- Expertise in software development and embedded software development using agile methods.
- Experience with Android, Kanzi, and Matlab/Simulink.
- Experience with service-oriented architectures.
- Experience identifying and solving the root causes of complex problems.
- Strong verbal, written, analytical, logical-thinking, problem-solving, communication, and team-coordination skills.
- Ability to work across global teams and in an environment of ambiguity and ongoing change.
- An attached resume is required.
- Experience with Daimler Truck HMI software development, HMI platform development processes, or Daimler Truck product engineering is preferred.

- Starting base salary range of $117,000–$150,000 USD.
