Responsibilities
- Design and build APIs and backend services that expose new capabilities to members.
- Implement software designs and architecture, including coding, unit testing, integration, and feature delivery.
- Contribute to automated testing and quality practices for reliable software delivery.
- Work with REST, SOAP, and GraphQL services, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
- Maintain deployment, maintenance, support, business-needs, and runbook documentation.
- Track progress in Jira and Kanban boards and participate in Agile ceremonies and backlog refinement.
- Provide estimates, challenge requirements when appropriate, and contribute ideas during solution design and brainstorming sessions.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of backend development experience.
- Experience with Kotlin, Java, Spring Boot, Spring Security, JavaScript, ReactJS, NodeJS, and Redux.
- Experience with unit and integration testing frameworks, BDD tools such as Cucumber, and CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
- Experience with Azure Kubernetes Service, Cloud Foundry, Terraform, Flux, ConfigMap, and other automated engineering-platform components.
- Knowledge of SOAP, REST, GraphQL, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
- Ability to collaborate with Product Owners and teams in Agile environments and contribute to estimates, requirements refinement, and technical documentation.
