Responsibilities
- Design and build APIs and backend services that expose new capabilities to members.
- Implement software designs and architecture using Kotlin, Java, Spring technologies, and related backend tools.
- Design, code, unit test, and integrate new features and functionality.
- Contribute to automated unit and integration testing and high-quality reliable software delivery.
- Support CI/CD pipelines and cloud platform components, including Azure Kubernetes Service and related automation.
- Contribute to documentation covering deployment, maintenance, support, business needs, and runbooks.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, backlog refinement, estimation, ideation, and requirements discussions.
- Update progress using Jira and Kanban boards.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of backend development experience.
- Experience with Kotlin and Java, including Spring Boot and Spring Security.
- Experience with JavaScript, ReactJS, NodeJS, and Redux.
- Knowledge of testing, CI/CD, unit and integration testing frameworks, and BDD tools such as Cucumber.
- Experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure Kubernetes Service, and Cloud Foundry.
- Experience with Terraform, Flux, ConfigMap, and other components of automated engineering platforms.
- Understanding of SOAP, REST, GraphQL, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
- Ability to contribute to creative solution design, Agile ceremonies, backlog refinement, initial estimates, and constructive requirements review.
