Responsibilities
- Create reference designs, optimize workflows, tune performance, and enable the AI ecosystem.
- Collaborate with engineering teams, ISVs, cloud partners, and enterprise customers to guide AI deployments and translate customer insights into engineering direction.
- Prototype and demonstrate end-to-end AI workflows spanning training, fine-tuning, and inference.
- Develop validated designs, notebooks, demos, best-practice content, and performance playbooks.
- Provide structured feedback to ROCm, framework, platform, and performance engineering teams.
- Validate integrations such as vLLM and Triton, support partner technology readiness, and influence product roadmaps.
Requirements
- Extensive expertise in AI/ML engineering, distributed training, and GPU computing.
- Strong experience in customer engagement, enterprise solution design, technical advocacy, and technical execution.
- Knowledge of LLMs, generative AI, RAG, computer vision, and fine-tuning.
- Hands-on experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX, inference runtimes, and containerized GPU environments.
- Familiarity with ROCm, CUDA, AMD MI300 and MI325 platforms, MLOps systems, data pipelines, and cloud-native deployment architectures.
- Experience developing demos, validated designs, reproducible notebooks, or technical content is preferred.
- Strong understanding of industry trends and competitive AI technologies.
- BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or a related equivalent.
