Base Salary
$140k - $210k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain native iOS framework components for Bluetooth Low Energy and EMV card readers.
- Lead end-to-end device and software payment certification efforts involving PCI-DSS, PCI-PTS, and EMVCo L1/L2/L3.
- Integrate transaction processing, tokenization, refunds, and cryptographic protocols with Core Payments infrastructure.
- Debug payment hardware, test reader firmware, and optimize performance using the Sunnyvale hardware lab.
- Serve as the US-based iOS payments subject matter expert connecting local infrastructure teams with global development groups.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience building production-grade native iOS applications with Swift and Objective-C.
- Proven experience with payment processors, EMV kernels, ISO 8583 or point-of-sale protocols, or card-present payment architectures.
- Hands-on experience integrating Bluetooth Low Energy, MFi, or USB accessories and readers into iOS applications.
- Experience with PCI-DSS, PCI-PTS, EMVCo standards, and device certification cycles.
- Deep understanding of secure key management, cryptographic protocols including DUKPT, AES, and RSA, multithreading, and low-level protocol debugging.
- Preferred experience with POS platforms or reader hardware such as Clover, Square, Ingenico, or Verifone.
- Preferred experience writing or maintaining shared native C/C++ libraries wrapped for iOS.
