Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation of data science projects and approaches that support commercial goals.
- Lead research, development, and productionization of ML/AI services and products.
- Build, lead, nurture, and retain a high-performing team of Machine Learning Engineers.
- Collaborate with technology, product, and data teams to develop data platforms and embed data science into products and processes.
- Help teams translate between business and data when designing projects and communicating recommendations and results.
- Champion data science across the Kingfisher group and support development of a data-driven culture.
- Lead efforts to develop the data science and customer analytics brand for internal and external audiences.
Requirements
- Proven experience delivering high-quality AI-based products and productionizing machine learning products.
- Proven experience developing cloud-based machine learning services using one or more cloud providers, preferably GCP.
- Strong understanding of classical machine learning algorithms, including Logistic Regression, Random Forest, and XGBoost, and deep learning algorithms such as BERT and LSTM.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and Python's data analysis ecosystem, including Jupyter, Pandas, Scikit Learn, and Matplotlib.
- Strong software development skills, with Python preferred.
- Proven experience deploying ML/AI services using Kubernetes and Kubeflow.
- Previous experience managing a team, along with strong management, leadership, influencing, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
