Base Salary
$170k - $195k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain production services at scale.
- Debug production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack.
- Develop integrations between Fieldwire and external services and partners.
- Lead technical architecture discussions and drive technical decisions.
- Mentor engineers on software development best practices.
- Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes.
- Release and maintain a rapidly growing API with 100% backward compatibility.
- Build efficient auto-scaling services for peak and non-peak loads.
- Architect end-to-end systems for real-time synchronization of large data volumes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of production web application experience.
- Expertise in modern web application development and relational databases.
- Ability to write clean, well-tested, modular, and maintainable code.
- Deep understanding of algorithms and data structures.
- Experience with Ruby on Rails and its ecosystem is preferred.
- Experience with high-traffic web applications and services is preferred.
- Knowledge of Docker and containerization is preferred.
- Familiarity with AWS is preferred.
