Base Salary
$100k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain PLC-based control systems for chemical processing equipment, test stands, and production systems.
- Develop and integrate SCADA/HMI systems for monitoring, control, alarming, and operational visibility.
- Build C++ or Rust services and control infrastructure for high-reliability, performance-critical components.
- Define and enforce software architecture, coding standards, testing strategies, and operational practices for PLC-based control systems.
- Integrate sensors, actuators, and field devices with hardware, electrical, and process engineering teams.
- Lead debugging, root-cause analysis, and reliability improvements across the automation stack.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience developing industrial control systems or automation software.
- Strong production-level experience with C++ or Rust.
- Hands-on experience with PLCs and industrial control platforms such as Beckhoff/TwinCAT, Siemens, Rockwell, or equivalent.
- Experience with SCADA/HMI systems and industrial networking.
- Strong understanding of real-time systems, control loops, and hardware/software integration.
- Experience in safety-critical, high-reliability, or regulated industrial environments is preferred.
- Experience designing fault-tolerant, observable, and testable control systems is preferred.
- Experience with automated testing, simulation, or hardware-in-the-loop test frameworks is preferred.
- Technical leadership in setting engineering standards and mentoring engineers is preferred.
- Ability to work extended hours and weekends as necessary.
