Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product, design, operations, and infrastructure teams to build innovative application experiences.
- Implement custom user interfaces and develop reusable software components for back-end platforms.
- Analyze and optimize code for quality, efficiency, performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Lead complex technical or product efforts, set technical direction, and provide technical guidance to peers.
- Architect efficient and scalable systems for complex applications.
- Develop machine learning models at scale from inception through business impact.
- Establish end-to-end ownership of components, features, or systems.
- Improve quality through code reviews, testing, rollout practices, monitoring, and proactive changes.
Requirements
- Demonstrated ability to set technical direction, drive consensus, and build successful cross-functional partnerships.
- Knowledge of development and debugging in C/C++ and Java, or experience with scripting languages such as Python, Perl, PHP, and shell scripts.
- Experience building and shipping high-quality, reliable software.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 6 years of software engineering or relevant experience, or 3 years with a PhD.
- At least 2 years of experience in machine learning, recommendation systems, pattern recognition, data mining, artificial intelligence, or a related technical field.
- Experience developing machine learning models at scale.
- Preferred: master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a machine learning-related field.
- Preferred: exposure to architectural patterns of large-scale software applications and experience with PyTorch and TensorFlow.
- Preferred: ability to integrate AI tools, implement responsible and ethical AI practices, and develop skills in prompt/context engineering and agent orchestration.
