Responsibilities
- Define and implement best practices for Wi-Fi validation.
- Collaborate with firmware developers, product managers, test teams, customers, and multi-geographic teams.
- Ensure Wi-Fi products meet performance, reliability, and interoperability standards across environments.
- Manage infrastructure, develop test topologies, and prepare validation use cases.
- Participate in product and software design reviews and provide feature-design input.
- Document software defects using a bug tracking system and work with cross-functional teams on resolution.
- Share information and insights with peers and junior engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in ECE or Computer Science.
- 7 to 11 years of hands-on software testing and automation experience.
- Strong understanding of WLAN standards, including the IEEE 802.11 family.
- Good knowledge of TCP/IP networking.
- Experience with automation using Python and Shell scripting.
- Familiarity with software release management and deployment, including Git and CI/CD.
- Strong problem-solving, detail orientation, and written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work with customers and multi-geographic teams.
