Responsibilities
- Lead a small autonomous engineering team by setting technical direction, driving delivery and quality, and developing engineers.
- Design and ship full-lifecycle features across front-end and back-end systems.
- Build and consume APIs and event-driven services connecting workforce, project, scheduling, and financial data.
- Develop and operate agentic and LLM-backed product features using RAG, agentic architectures, evaluation harnesses, and context engineering.
- Make performance and scalability decisions that hold under load.
- Work in customer environments, test assumptions against real-world needs, and incorporate evidence into the product.
- Own software through design, build, testing, deployment, and production operation.
- Document technical decisions and improve engineering practices across the team.
Requirements
- Strong software engineering experience with depth in at least one area such as front end, back end, data, quality, security, platform, or applied AI.
- Experience leading or mentoring engineers and genuinely wanting to remain hands-on with code.
- Ability to work across the stack and take ownership in ambiguous environments.
- Experience using AI tools and agentic patterns in real engineering work.
- Experience shipping AI-backed features such as LLM integrations, RAG, or agentic patterns.
- A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent proof through built work.
- Experience with enterprise, ERP, project-based, construction, engineering, or other field-heavy software is a plus.
- Experience delivering software with globally distributed teams and leading them is a plus.
