Base Salary
$168k - $262k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead technical strategy and execution across complex customer engagements.
- Design and build production AI systems, including multi-agent orchestration, enterprise retrieval systems, and decision intelligence platforms.
- Make architecture decisions across multiple services and organizational boundaries.
- Define operational standards, evaluation frameworks, testing strategies, observability standards, incident response playbooks, and production-readiness criteria.
- Create reusable engineering patterns, platforms, and accelerators that reduce customer time-to-value.
- Mentor junior Forward Deployed Engineers and contribute to interviews, hiring, and engineering excellence standards.
- Communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences, including senior stakeholders.
- Travel 30–50%.
Requirements
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language.
- 5+ years leading the design or architecture of new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Experience mentoring, serving as a tech lead, or leading an engineering team.
- Experience leading agentic and spec-driven development at production scale.
- Experience with AI tools including evaluation frameworks, agent tooling, RAG pipelines, and prompt engineering.
- Preferred: bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Preferred: experience building or deploying AI/ML applications at enterprise production scale.
- Preferred: experience architecting complex multi-component systems in customer production environments and leading customer-facing technical projects.
- Preferred: experience with AWS services, React, TypeScript, Python, and/or Go.
- Preferred: 3+ years in an Agile, startup, or rapidly scaling environment.
