Responsibilities
- Design and implement software features and own components from concept through delivery.
- Develop software interfaces for signal-generation hardware, including calibration, waveform accuracy, and measurement performance capabilities.
- Translate customer and product requirements into technical requirements and implementation approaches with cross-functional teams.
- Develop maintainable, testable, high-quality software aligned with engineering standards.
- Lead debugging and resolution of complex issues affecting system stability, performance, and user experience.
- Contribute to code reviews, technical discussions, and engineering practices while mentoring other engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
- 6+ years of R&D experience in software product development.
- Professional application-development experience with C# and C++.
- Experience with hardware-related software development such as instrument control, embedded interfaces, DSP, or signal-generation and acquisition systems.
- Solid understanding of measurement principles, software design principles, and object-oriented programming.
- Experience with version control, CI/CD, and testing, plus willingness to learn new technologies and tools.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and written and spoken English skills.
- Preferred: knowledge of multithreading and performance tuning; experience with Git, Jira, and Confluence; German language skills or willingness to learn.
