Responsibilities
- Build and manage a team developing and maintaining software that defends against cheating, piracy, and other threats.
- Own the framework for monitoring, investigating, identifying, and mitigating security threats.
- Develop internal reverse-engineering capabilities to analyze and report on malicious code.
- Collaborate with code teams to embed security best practices into the development environment.
- Support QA in building the capability to validate and safely release defensive software.
Requirements
- Extensive senior or leadership-level experience delivering anti-cheat and DRM functionality safely and successfully for C++ software.
- Strong expertise implementing anti-cheat techniques and digital rights management technologies, with the ability to develop those skills in team members.
- Demonstrable experience reverse engineering and analyzing game cheats, DRM circumvention, and similar abuse vectors.
- Deep understanding of PE and ELF file formats and tools such as IDA Pro or Ghidra.
- Experience shipping or operating online, multiplayer, or live-service games at scale is desirable.
- Knowledge of cryptography and network protocols, including OpenSSL and Wireshark, is desirable.
- Published security research, responsible disclosure, or public white-hat work is desirable.
- Familiarity with the Windows Resiliency Initiative is desirable.
