Base Salary
$79k - $119k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build performant, scalable, and secure backend services.
- Develop and maintain systems supporting high-throughput AI workloads, asynchronous job orchestration, and distributed processing.
- Build systems that route and manage AI traffic while maintaining reliability and fair usage across workloads.
- Write unit and integration tests and contribute to static analysis and test strategy.
- Collaborate with software engineers through design, implementation, and pair programming.
- Improve engineering tools, workflows, processes, and practices.
- Operate backend services across multi-region and multi-cloud environments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience building backend services with C#, Python, or similar languages.
- Understanding of software engineering disciplines and ability to work across multiple application layers.
- Foundational knowledge of distributed systems, scalability, and backend service design.
- Preferred: understanding of DevOps principles and experience with GitHub Actions.
- Preferred: experience with large language model APIs or generative AI systems.
- Preferred: experience designing scalable systems in Azure or other cloud platforms.
- Preferred: familiarity with Kubernetes, serverless technologies, cloud-native architectures, domain-driven design, and event-driven architecture.
- Preferred: experience with AI-driven development practices or AI-assisted coding tools.
